Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Sagabond.
1. Who you are agreeing with
Sagabond (“the service”) is provided by Pritish Joshi. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
2. Your account
You need an account to create trips. You must give a valid email address and confirm it before you can sign in — accounts with unconfirmed addresses cannot be used. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at hello@sagabond.site if you think someone else has access to it.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Sagabond. One person, one account: do not share credentials or transfer your account to anyone else.
3. Travel information — please read
Sagabond is a planning tool, not a source of authoritative travel information. Departure and arrival times, durations, timezone conversions, connection feasibility, place details, opening hours and transport suggestions are generated automatically — including from documents you upload, which are read by software that can misread them.
Always confirm times, dates, terminals, visa and entry requirements, and booking details directly with your airline, operator, accommodation provider or the relevant authority before you travel or commit money. We are not liable for a missed connection, a denied boarding, a rejected entry or any other loss arising from relying on information shown in the app instead of confirming it at the source.
4. Your content
Your trips, notes, images and documents remain yours. You keep all rights in them. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the service — to store your content, display it back to you, and show it to the people you invite to a trip. We claim no other rights, and we do not use your content to train models or to advertise to you.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for not posting anything unlawful, infringing, or harmful.
5. Sharing a trip
A share link grants whoever opens it the role you chose — view or collaborate. Treat these links as public: anyone who has one can use it, so share them only with people you intend to give access. Collaborators can change a shared itinerary; only the owner can delete a trip or change how it is shared. Travel documents in your vault are never shared by a link.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to access another person's account, trips or documents;
- probe, scan or test the security of the service, or circumvent its rate limits or authentication;
- scrape, resell or redistribute data obtained through the service;
- upload malware, or use the service to send spam or unsolicited email;
- overload the infrastructure with automated requests;
- use the service unlawfully, or to infringe anyone's rights.
7. Third-party services and content
The service integrates external providers and shows information from third parties — including place data from Foursquare, destination content from Wikivoyage, Wikipedia and Wikidata, optional Google Drive sync, and the relay servers that carry photos between collaborators. We do not control that content or those services and do not warrant its accuracy or availability. Links to booking or transport sites are provided for convenience and are not endorsements; your dealings with those sites are between you and them, under their terms.
8. Availability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Maintenance and outages happen. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
9. Ending it
You may stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to hello@sagabond.site. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law. On termination your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost bookings, or lost or corrupted data arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will notify you by email of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and mandatory protections of that country's law still apply to you.
